The pet sheep are Dolly, Bella, Molly and Kaya. They are actually Olde English Southdown Sheep, but are called Baby Dolls for short. Kaya and Bella are both brown/black in color, but Kaya is a bit darker. Molly and Dolly are both white and it is hard to tell them apart at first. They live with two adorable alpacas that protect them when danger may be near. Baby Doll sheep have been around since 1780! Originally Southdown Sheep were from England. They almost became extince but have made a big comeback in the USA. Most are between 17 inches and 24 inches tall. They grow wool all over their faces which makes them look like teddy bears. Baby Doll sheep are naturally polled, which means they do not grow horns, even the males. They are very sweet and calm and do not like to wander far from each other. They produce wool just like any other sheep and need to be sheared every spring. Their fleece is between 19 to 22 microns which puts it in the class of cashmere. The "Babydoll" fleece also has more barbs per inch than any other wool types which make it an ideal blend with angora.
