SOLD - Gretal and her yearling colt are living the good life in Texas
GRETAL was the Gypsy Cob Society's 2005 Merit Awards Program Champion Driving Horse.
Two years old
Gretal was foaled, May 2, 2002 by the prized broodmare, Priscilla, at Gypsy Grace Ranch in Vermont. Her sire is the famous, Sid's Good Stallion. (See photos below). We are thrilled to have one of the last direct daughters of this great stallion. Gretal is half sister to the outstanding mares, Panda Rose in Florida, and Babydoll of Black Forest Shires. On November 27, 2002 one of the best Gypsy Horses in the world had to be put down due to a leg injury. This was truly a sad day, as this horse sired some of the best horses in the world, and serveral of his get are in the USA. Three wonderful mares in the USA sired by this stallion are Panda Rose in Florida, Babydoll at Black Forest Shires in Colorado, and our Gretal. Sid's Good Stallion was also famous in Gypsy circles for producing not only top quality, but mostly fillies. We are so fortunate to have a mare by this great stallion!
